To install the licensing software, complete the steps below.
When installing to Windows 95 from diskettes, you will only
	need the diskette you labeled:

		PATHWORKS Licensing for Windows 95

	 1) From the Start menu select Settings and then Control Panel.

	 2) In the Control Panel, open Network.

	 3) Select the Configuration tab.

	 4) From the Configuration tab, click on the Add... button.

	 5) Select Service from the list of options and click the Add...
	    button.

	 6) Next click on the Have Disk... button.

	 7) Enter the path to the directory containing the PWLIC.INF
	    file.

		- If installing from a CD this will be "d:\Win95"
where "d" is the drive letter of the CD drive.

		- If installing from diskettes, insert the diskette
labeled "PATHWORKS Licensing for Windows 95" into
the diskette drive and enter the drive name (usually
		  "A:").

	 8) Select which Licensing Agent you would like to install
(LAN Manger or NetWare) and click on the OK button.

	 9) You may install a second Licensing Agent now by returning
to step 4, or complete the installation by continuing to
	    step 10.

	10) Click on the OK button on the Configuration tab. The installation
will copy the required files and instruct you to restart the
machine. The Licensing Agent will not be fully installed until
after the machine has been restarted.

Note that the installation may ask for your Windows 95 CD-ROM
	    for the following files:

	    ndis.vxd protman.dos svrapi.dll
	    ndis2sup.vxd protman.exe vnetbios.vxd
	    ndishlp.sys secur32.dll

After the installation has completed, you may change the
settings for the Licensing Agent by selecting Run from
the Start menu and entering PNLCFG (for LAN Manager) or
PILCFG (for NetWare). For information about the settings
dialog, click on the Help button.

If problems occur you should check the PATHWORKS Event Log
for error messages by selecting Run from the Start menu and
entering PWLOG. Double-click on a message to display a
detailed description of the possible causes and the recommended
	actions.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
=====================

The following list describes situations that may cause licensing operations
to fail and offers some solutions.

If, after installing and configuring the PATHWORKS Licensing Software,
you have not obtained a license, check the following:

		* Have you shut down and restarted the computer?

   		* Are all network protocols / transports configured and enabled?

   		* Is the license server installed on the network using the same network
transport as the client machine (i.e. NetBEUI or IPX)?
